Built in the Victorian-Gothic style, this stunning hall is well worth a visit! It's situated inside one of the largest law courts in Europe and during the week, the building is a hub of activity with legal teams going about their daily business.

The image was taken in the Great Hall inside The Royal Courts of Justice building.
Once you enter the hall of the building, locate the large balcony on the first floor at the far end of the room. Then, take any sets of stairs to the first floor and follow the corridor around to this balcony view. From here, you'll see where I stood to take this photograph.
Please note that this is a private location and is only open to the public during Open House weekend. For more information, check out: https://openhouselondon.org.uk.

Tips
When to go
Best season
September
Best time
Morning, Mid-day, Late afternoon
The Royal Courts of Justice are working law courts and therefore they don't allow photography during working hours. The only time members of the public can take photos is during the annual Open House London weekend. This takes place mid-September every year and the Great Hall is regularly featured as part of the program.

This magnificent space is best captured during the day when the natural light streams through the windows, accentuating all of the beautiful textures of this architectural gem. Direct sunlight is also a plus, so go during mid-day for the best lighting.
Field tips
Consider using a tripod and doing a long exposure — especially if there are a lot of people in the hall. You can set up the tripod on the stone ledge for a stable surface.
I recommend using a Neutral Density filter to help you reach longer shutter speeds without overexposing the images.
Try positioning yourself right in the middle of the balcony to capture a perfectly symmetrical shot.
Make sure to angle your camera straight so that the columns are vertical and you can use the floor as leading lines to the bottom corners of the hall.
