As the light shines down and the clouds swirl above the bustling city streets, capture the London Bridge and River Thames through floor-to-ceiling windows of the 35th floor in this incredible skyscraper.

I took this photo from the 35th floor of Sky Garden in London. The skyscraper is also known as the "Walkie Talkie" building because of its unique shape.
When you get to the front of Sky Garden, walk through the main entrance where you'll be greeted by staff and asked to go through a quick airport-style security check in. Then, you'll be escorted into one of two elevators that will take you to the 35th floor. Turn right through the doorway from the elevator and then take another right toward the windows in front of the stairs. I stood near one of the glass windows before the stairs, looking south toward the London Bridge and River Thames.
By London Underground:
- Closest station: Monument Station (via Circle or District line)
- Head east on Eastcheap/A1213 toward Gracechurch St
- Turn left onto Philpot Ln and the destination will be on your right
Address: Sky Garden 20 Fenchurch St, London EC3M 8AF, UK

Sunset
You can photograph this Sky Garden view of the London Bridge and River Thames year round, but I prefer to visit in the summer months so I have a better chance at capturing a more intense sunset.
You can find similar lighting conditions anytime from 4-8PM — depending on the time of year.
Field tips
Because the view is so amazing, this area is extremely popular for photos. Be patient, wait your turn and avoid getting in another photographer's frame.
I recommend using a lens skirt to avoid having any reflections in your photo from the glass wall you'll be photographing through.
I think it's best to be slightly at an angle so you can see the entirety of the London Bridge. If you aren't angled, the buildings could block it.
The sunset will change throughout the course of an hour or so. Try taking as many photos as you can to experiment with different lighting.

The Sky Garden covers three floors of the "Walkie Talkie" building. Check out the manicured interior gardens, the observation decks and the restaurant and bar options (there are a few!). This building really has it all.
