Rosewood London Hotel Courtyard

The image was taken inside the courtyard of the Rosewood London Hotel in Holborn. There are two separate buildings that make up the Rosewood London and the courtyard in the middle. I entered the building off of High Holborn. Walk through the lobby and head up as high as you can on the all-marble staircase to the window that gives you this south-facing view. For your model to get to the courtyard, they can walk directly through the lobby. During the morning, midday and late afternoons, you'll be able to capture the best lighting conditions. I recommend going in the morning when the courtyard will be empty.

Please be respectful of the hotel guests and keep to yourself when photographing the courtyard.

Since you'll be shooting through a window, be prepared to try and reduce the glare as much as possible. If your image has a lot of glare, try using a dark piece of clothing to cancel it out.

Experiment with the position of your model and have them walk through the courtyard so you can capture a more candid shot.

The staircase in the hotel is made of all marble and worth stopping for a picture, too.
