This photo was taken from the Canary Wharf Promenade in London. I stood on the platform facing west for a view of the Bank Financial District.
The easiest way to reach this spot is via one of the ferries that ply the River Thames regularly. They're a great way to see more of the city, and during the warmer months, can make for a very relaxing trip.
By ferry:
- Closest station: Canary Wharf Ferry Terminal
- Head north
- Turn left at NCN National Rte 1
By public transportation:
- Closest station: Canary Wharf Station (via Jubilee Line)
- Head north on Upper Bank St
- Turn left onto S Colonnade
- Continue straight onto Cabot Square
- Turn left onto W India Ave
- At Westferry Circus, take the 1st exit
- Turn right and take the stairs
