When to go
Best time
Morning, Mid-day, Late afternoon
You can photograph from inside the museum year round.
I highly recommend going on a sunny day — around 2 or 3pm — when the bright, mid-day sun shines through the window structure, creating beautiful shadows against the museum's interior.
Field tips
I chose to be parallel to the structure and stand on the third floor to get this shot. From this angle, you'll have a perfect view of the entire window — from floor to ceiling.
Experiment with different perspectives. The museum is five stories high, so head to different floors and find your own unique view point.
It's rare that the museum will ever be empty, so use the visitors to your advantage. Having them in your photo adds a human element!
