This drone image has a view of the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Shanghai city. I stood in the Lujiazui Central Green park and flew my drone west to get this view. By Metro: - Closest Station: Lujiazui Station (via line 2) - Head southeast on Lujiazui East Road and the park will be on your left

Tips

When to go

Best season

April, May, June, July, August, September, October

Best time

Night
From the months of April to October, you'll be able to capture the thick haze of fog in the sky. This fog occurs when there are changes in the weather, so visit on a cold night after a very hot day. The drop in temperature will enhance the fog and create a more moody scene for your shot.
To capture the illuminated tower, visit here at night.

Field tips

Before flying a drone, check and follow local drone regulations and permit requirements. Flying a drone here is not illegal, but the guards have the right to ask you to stop.
To create a sense of symmetry, try centering the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in the middle of your frame.
Fly your drone to other nearby locations and capture some of the city's most iconic skyscrapers.

Do nearby

If you're looking to eat, there are many restaurants in this area. There's a Taco Bell nearby that is very popular since it's unlike other Chinese food in the area.
I also recommend going to Aurora Art Museum (99 Fucheng Rd, Lu Jia Zui, Pudong, Shanghai, China). They have amazing exhibits!
