When to go

Best season

All months

Best time

Sunset, Blue Hour
You can photograph the Oriental Pearl TV Tower any month of year.
Try photographing at sunset when the sky becomes vibrant and the building lights turn on.

Field tips

I used a telephoto lens (70mm) so I could zoom into the tower and compress the skyline in the background.
I framed the tower in the center of image to split the skyline in the background.
Be patient and wait for boats to cross the Huangpu River.
