One of Silver Lake's hidden secrets is its many painted staircases. Infamous among locals, they're often unknown and hard to discover for those passing through. While it's easy to get distracted by the hustle and bustle of Sunset Boulevard, I highly recommend taking a detour and going on a painted stair hunting adventure!

The Mitcheltorena Stairs are located at 3400 Sunset Blvd in Los Angeles, CA. They're tucked just up off the street between a construction project and Hollywood Sunset Free Clinic and can be easy to miss if you're paying attention to Sunset Boulevard traffic and not the area around you.
I'd recommend parking in the neighborhood across the street near Mitcheltorena Elementary School, but pay attention to street signs to ensure you don't get a parking ticket.
