Find street parking near the intersection of E 4th St and Molino St. The Arts District has lots of restaurants and Museums with parking options as well. Find somewhere safe and secure to launch your drone, preferably out of sight from other people. To get this exact angle showing the intersection of E 4th St. & E. 4th Pl., fly your drone at about 25-40 feet (safely above / near the black art sculpture located in the parking lot).

Sunset lands behind Downtown Los Angeles from July to September, but you should be able to get a great shot any time of the year.
