Windansea Beach Surf Break Look Down

I took this photograph from Windanesea Beach. Find parking right off Neptune Place on any of the side streets. There's also a small parking lot at the center of the beach; if you're lucky there will be an open spot. From there, you'll see all of Windansea Beach in front of you. Either go to the south stretch of the beach which is typically a little less crowded, or make your way north where it's a bit rockier.

All months are a great to visit Windansea Beach. The temperatures are usually a bit nicer in the summer months, but with that comes more crowds!

Visit in the morning or during sunrise for amazing times at the beach. The surfers will be coming out of the water making for awesome photo opportunities. Avoid mid-day as the glare is harsh and there is typically the most people.

Follow local drone regulations and permit requirements if flying a drone.

The water is incredibly clear and this is one of the most popular surfing spots. Try to post up near where the surfers are since that's typically where you'll be shooting most your photos.

Bring a zoom lens if you want to get some action shots, otherwise a wide-angle lens is ideal to capture the long stretch of beach.
