This famous, upstream gorge features an ice-blue waterfall and rustic wooden steps that welcome visitors seasonally. The lush green vegetation makes it incredibly special in the summer — while in the winter, big icicles will form from the freezing temperatures. No matter the time of year, this attraction should be on your to-do list while you're visiting Austria.

This image was taken at the base of Sigmund Thun Klamm, which is a popular waterfall attraction in Kaprun.
Coming from Zell am See, you can follow the signs toward the gorge. There are five parking lots nearby, but I recommend parking in Parking lot Sigmund Thun Klamm (47.259176, 12.740267).
After parking, make your way toward the ticket center and pay your ticket to visit the gorge. It's a straight shot from the ticket center and you'll follow the walkway, passing by some beautiful waterfalls on the way. Reference the GPS coordinates to see where I stood for this shot.
