Capitalized and undefined terms used herein have the meaning ascribed to them in Explorest's Terms and Conditions https://www.explorest.com/legal/terms.html. Explorest is strongly committed to protecting the privacy of Users of this App. The App requires that you, as a User, provide information such as an email address, first and last name, country of residence, and photography preference. Sometimes we need additional information about you to provide you with information or services you want to receive from us. Also, this App provides a variety of interactive features which provide you with a public forum through which you can provide information about yourself and your travels to Explorest and others. Explorest believes in transparency and we provide this notice so you can understand our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used.

The Information We Collect
Personally Identifiable Information (“Personally Identifiable Information”): This is information that personally identifies one individual from another such as names, email addresses, photography preferences and other contact information. This is information that you voluntarily provide, for example, when you sign up for a voluntary User profile to login into the App.

Aggregate visitor and tracking information (“Aggregated Information”): Explorest may also automatically collect some information about your visit using cookies, log analysis software, and other aggregate tracking technologies. If you wish, you may set the App to refuse cookies. However, by refusing cookies you may not be able to access some pages or use some of the features or functions of the App.

The Aggregated Information gives us insights into how our Users and visitors use this App. This data is anonymous and does not contain any personally identifiable information. We use this information to ensure that our website, emails, and marketing efforts continue to appeal to our Users.

Location Information (“Location Information”): Explorest may collect information about your geographical location, such as GPS data, while you use the App.

How We Use Information
Explorest does not sell or disclose your Personally Identifiable Information to third parties except to the extent its use complies with this Privacy Policy. Specifically, we may use the information you provide about yourself to fulfill requests for services or information, and to respond to your inquiries. We use your contact information to communicate with you about changes to the App or to contact you about your account with us (if applicable). We may target advertising based on your App usage and Personally Identifiable Information. We may share your Personally Identifiable Information with trusted 3rd party business partners, such as email automation providers and advertisers. All 3rd party business partners are obligated to keep your information confidential and advertisers may present you with offers that meet your preferences.

We store the information you provide about yourself in a secure database to provide you with the information and/or services you request. The information is stored for the lifetime of the database unless you request that it be removed by emailing privacy@explorest.com.. The information you provide us about yourself will be shared with Explorest employees and service providers only to the extent necessary to accommodate your request.

Location Information may be stored along with your User information for purposes of learning which locations you have visited. This information may also be used internally for administrative and analytical purposes. Location Information will not be sold to third parties, but Explorest may remove other personally identifiable information and share the combination of Location Information and other Aggregated Information for the purpose of learning how to improve services Explorest provides through this App.

We use non-identifying and Aggregated Information about the use of our App for administrative and analytical purposes, and to improve the content of the App to better fit our audience. Explorest may also use non-identifying and Aggregated Information to select and contact Users we believe would be valuable contributors to the App as Contributors.

To the extent required by law, we may disclose Personally Identifiable Information to government authorities pursuant to a subpoena or other legal process, and we may also use or disclose your information as permitted by law to protect the rights or property of Explorest, the App, and our Users. We also may disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency’s request, or where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Use, or as otherwise required by law.

Although we take appropriate measures to safeguard against unauthorized disclosures of information, we cannot assure you that Personally Identifiable Information that is collected will never be disclosed in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy. Explorest is not responsible for loss or harm resulting from misuse of User information by a third party.

“Invite Friends” feature
Explorest’s “Invite Friends” feature allows you to invite friends via (i) your contacts list and/or (ii) third-party social media sites. If you choose to invite your friends through (i) your device's contacts list, then Explorest will access your contacts list. If you choose to invite your friends through a (ii) third-party social media site, you will be prompted to set up a link to the third-party service and you understand that any information that such service may provide to Explorest will be governed by this Privacy Policy.

If you choose to invite a person to use Explorest through the “Invite Friends” feature, you may select a person directly from the contacts list on your device and send a text or email from your personal account. You understand and agree that you are responsible for any charges that apply to communications sent from your device, and because this invitation is coming directly from your personal account, Explorest does not have access to or control this communication.

Security
Information security is important at Explorest. Standard physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards are maintained in an effort to protect personal information. We cannot guarantee the security of our database, nor can we guarantee that information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted to us through electronic means. We ask that you do your part by maintaining your Internet and App passwords and access codes strictly confidential.
